High-risk category. Confirm identity, permissions, and payment details before use.
- Never share a seed phrase or private key.No alert, tracker or support agent needs it. A bot that asks for one in chat should be treated as a scam.
- Custody.A trading bot that generates a wallet for you usually holds its keys on its own servers. Keep only what you can afford to lose there, and know how to withdraw.
- Exchange API keys.If a bot connects to an exchange, create a key with withdrawals disabled and an IP allowlist where the exchange supports it.
- Fees and impostors.Look for the fee per trade before the first one. Impostor bots copy names and avatars, so open the bot from its official site and check the exact @username.
