Developer tool bots for Telegram
Bots for people who build things: CI and deploy notifications, repository events, tools that show chat IDs and raw updates, and builders that help you make bots of your own.
01 / What they do
What these bots do
- CI and deploy notifications.Build, test and deploy results posted to a team chat.
- Repository events.Pull requests, issues and releases from your code host.
- Inspectors.Show chat IDs, user IDs and the raw update JSON while you develop a bot.
- Bot builders.Create menus, forms and replies for a bot without writing a server.
- Quick utilities.Format JSON, test regular expressions or check DNS from a chat.
02 / Before you add one
Check before you add one
Read the permission request before you tap Add or Start.
- A bot token is a password.Anyone with your token controls your bot: they can read its updates and send messages as it. Only give a token to a builder you trust, and revoke it in BotFather if it leaks.
- Repository access.Integrations should ask for the narrowest scope: one repository, read-only where possible.
- Webhook endpoints.Notification URLs let anyone who has them post into your chat. Keep them in secret storage, not in the repository.
- Where logs go.Inspectors and builders may store message contents. Do not point production traffic at a debugging bot.
