- Who receives the money.The payment screen should name the merchant or provider. If it does not, or the name does not match the bot, stop.
- Card details stay with the provider.With Telegram's built-in payments the bot does not receive your full card number. A bot that asks you to type card details into the chat is not using them.
- Refunds.Find the refund policy and the support contact before you pay, not after.
- Impostors.Scam bots copy the name and avatar of real shops. Open the bot from the merchant's own site and check the exact @username.
